The magnum opus of Selvaraghavan is said to have been placed at the editing table recently because of its shaky response. It is reported that the film has been trimmed to follow a length of 2 hours and 45 minutes. The film which is originally of 3 hours and 5 minutes, has been shortened by 20 mins; by doing away with few controversial scenes.

Another interesting buzz is that the film will now on carry subtitles in its second half. According to sources, those who had watched the film were unable to understand the classic, Chola era Tamil used in this part of the film.
